Police respond to shoplifting incident at Mt. Pleasant grocery store
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Officers in Mount Pleasant responded to an alleged shoplifting incident on Monday afternoon, according to police.
An individual attempted to shoplift items from the Harris Teeter on Houston Northcutt Boulevard, the Mount Pleasant Police Department said. When officers responded to the scene, the individual fled.
A foot pursuit ensued, and officers apprehended the suspect in a nearby parking lot. Police have not identified the suspect yet.
