Warming center opening due to cold temperatures

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Warming centers are opening this week due to expected cold temperatures in the Lowcountry.

If you are without housing or adequate heat, warming centers will be available at the following:

Holy City Missions at Aldersgate – 1444 Remount Road

• Open on Thursday from 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. 
• Serves a hot meal, breakfast, bag lunch, showers, and clothing.
• For transportation: Use CARTA bus route 13, request Aldersgate Winter Warming Shelter.
• Pets are not permitted
• Capacity: Can only accommodate 75 people. Operates on a first-come, first-served basis
