Dorchester District 2 board allows superintendent to retire early
DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Dorchester District 2 will now have a new superintendent following a Monday night school board meeting.
DD2 Board of Trustees voted to release now-former Superintendent Dr. Shane Robbins from his contract early so he can retire. He has served in the position since 2022.
Dr. Robbin’s contract was initially set to expire on June 10.
The board named Deputy Superintendent Chad Daugherty as interim superintendent until a permanent replacement for Dr. Robbins can be named.
Daugherty was named deputy superintendent in 2022. He has 29 years of experience in education.
