MUSC Kiawah Pavilion marks major structural milestone

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – MUSC leaders will gather with construction partners to celebrate an important milestone for the MUSC Health Kiawah Partners Pavilion.

Officials say the structure’s final beam will be placed to mark the end of the building’s structural phase.

MUSC Health Kiawah Partners will address the health care needs of the local barrier island communities.

MUSC officials say the 24-hour medical pavilion will include a freestanding emergency room, offering trauma and triage rooms, imaging and radiology services, an on-site lab and a helipad for critical cases.

The medical building will also offer primary and cardiology care, and outpatient services.

The facility is slated for completion in late 2025.
