North Charleston’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Block Party returns Saturday. Here’s what to expect
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The area’s largest St. Patrick’s Day celebration will happen in North Charleston’s Park Circle community on Saturday afternoon.
Organizers say the 21st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party and Parade will feature live music, street vendors, delicious bites from Charleston area restaurants, and plenty of fun for the whole family when it kicks off from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on East Montague Avenue.
It all begins with a parade that starts on Park Place East at noon and travels down East Montague Ave. through the block party to Virginia Avenue.
The party, parade, and parking will be free to the public.

Road Closures
East Montague will close between Virginia Avenue and Jenkins Avenue at 9 a.m. for set up and will remain closed until 7 p.m. Additional closures will occur on Chateau Avenue, O’Hear Avenue, Empire Avenue, and Colie Morse Way. East Montague Avenue between Park Place East and Jenkins Avenue will close at 11:30 a.m. and stay closed for the duration of the parade.

Organizers say parking is very limited and carpooling or rideshare service is highly recommended. Please take care and be respectful when parking in surrounding neighborhoods.
Designated disabled parking is located at the corner of Virginia Avenue and Empire Avenue. Cars left in the block party area overnight on Friday, March 14, will be towed.
