Charleston’s St. Patrick’s parade: Green crowds and festive fun
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston will host its annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Monday, expecting to attract large crowds dressed in green.
The parade will start on King and Radcliffe Streets and will end at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Broad Street.
It will feature performances from dancers and pipers at various locations including Blind Tiger, Tommy Condon’s Irish Pub, Bumpa’s, Bodega/Share House, The Brick, Holy City Brewing, and Dunleavy’s Irish Pub.
The parade will start at 10 a.m. and at 11 a.m. the Irish flag will be raised over City Hall.
In preparation for the parade, several downtown roads will be closed.
St. Patrick’s Catholic Church will also have mass before the parade at 8 a.m.
