3 rescued after yacht strikes Charleston jetties, takes on water early Tuesday morning
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Three people were rescued from a yacht that struck the Charleston jetties early Tuesday morning.
The United States Coast Guard said it was alerted to a 58-foot vessel that struck the jetties and was taken on water.


Officials said three people aboard the yacht transferred to a dinghy and were safely recovered by a nearby Charleston Harbor Pilots vessel.
A Coast Guard crew arrived and carried the individuals to Station Charleston.
No injuries were reported. Coast Guard officials say the vessel owner is coordinating salvage.
