Coroner identifies Huger man killed in Highway 45 wreck
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A 52-year-old man was killed after being ejected from a vehicle in McClellanville Wednesday evening.
Randy Pelosi from Huger died on the scene around 6:04 p.m., according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.
Charleston County deputies responded to the crash site at the intersection of Highway 45 and Old Georgetown Road. Investigators believe the vehicle, driven by Pelosi, was headed north when it left the roadway and struck several trees.
Pelosi was then ejected from the vehicle and died from injuries sustained.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is the lead investigative agency.
