Broken gas line prompts evacuation of some Jedburg businesses

JEDBURG, S.C. (WCBD) – A broken gas line has prompted an evacuation of some Jedburg businesses.

First responders were dispatched to Hodge Road for a broken gas line around 12:40 p.m., according to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say Jedburg Road is closed between Gallashaw Road and McQueen Blvd.

“Evacuations of nearby businesses are in progress,” said DCSO officials.

People are asked to follow all directions from emergency personnel.
