Kandi Burruss Stylishly Shows Off ‘Othello’ Merchandise
It was a star-studded opening week for Othello. Celebrities like former President Joe Biden, J. Lo, Tamron Hall, Sherri Shepherd, Nia Long, Gayle King, Colman Domingo, and Nicole Ari Parker made their way to the Barrymore Theatre to witness the magic in-person. The play has already broken four records, including becoming the highest-grossing Broadway play ever, generating in $2.8 million in a week.
Othello, starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal, is the hottest ticket in town. Going at almost $1000 a pop, the show, co-produced by Kandi Burruss, has been receiving rave reviews and even more interest from theater enthusiasts. But it isn’t only Broadway buffs who want to see the Shakespeare spectacular, Denzel fans are jumping at the opportunity to see him live.
“It’s the most excited I’ve been this century,” Washington told CNN. “Seriously. I haven’t been this excited about anything I’ve done as I am about this.”

“You want to get the merch because you want to be able to say i have merch from the show when Jake Gyllenhaal and Denzel Washington starred in Othello on Broadway,” said Kandi in a cute social media clip. According to Kandi, “We decided to do a few things that were important moments in the show, scenes in the show.”

Denzel and Jake aren’t the only celebs making headlines. Kandi has been rocking news-worthy looks as she promoted it in the press. The former RHOA star teamed up with Daniel Hawkins (known for turning Fantasia into a red carpet killer) to up her style game during a press tour.
Kandi turned heads when she showed up to the Othello opening night party in a sheer Christian Siriano gown. Looks like Kandi has found her stride.
