Deputies investigating deadly shooting in Kingstree

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Deputies in Williamsburg County are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Sunday.

Authorities responded to a report of gunfire on Cypress Avenue, according to the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office. When they arrived, they found an individual suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

EMS took the victim to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. An initial investigation revealed the victim was standing outside a Kingstree establishment when they were fired at.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Deputies have not yet identified a suspect.
