Dorchester County man charged for using stolen lottery tickets

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – State agents have arrested a Dorchester County man for turning in stolen lottery tickets.

Dejerrion Lytrell Armstrong, 30, is charged with two counts of intent to defraud, counterfeit game tickets.

The South Carolina Education Lottery requested that the State Law Enforcement Division investigate.

On November 29, 2024, Armstong passed nine stolen scratch-off tickets at a Ridgeville gas station. After he cashed out, he received $53. An arrest warrant states that the tickets had previously been stolen during a burglary at a Bamber County gas station.

He also passed eight stolen scratch-off tickets at a Walterboro gas station and received $40. According to arrest warrants, those tickets had been stolen during a burglary at a Ridgeville gas station.

The 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office will prosecute this case.
