POTC: Shamea Morton Talks Music, Family, ‘RHOA’ And ATL Life

Some people know the city where they come from like the back of their hand, and there’s nothing about Atlanta that you can tell singer/actress Shamea Morton that she hasn’t already seen, heard or partied at until the crack of dawn.
Now that she’s a current fan-favorite on The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, the world sees clearly just how much of a resident ATLien Shamea is. She’ll soon be channeling that energy into music as well in pursuit of solo success after years prior of being in girl groups with the likes of Shamari DeVoe, before her time in Blaque, as well as Keri Hilson in a short-lived female ensemble called Pretty Toni.
Her first official single,”Neva Had,” is a hit if you ask us!

DJ Misses and Incognito sat with Shamea for a convo that was nothing short of an Atlanta lovefest. From reminiscing on old hotspots and hangouts to a mutual nostalgia of growing up in one of the OG Black meccas in America, it felt like a mini family reunion in the studio. She also speaks on how motherhood acts as her driving force when it comes to everything, and how she manages to balance it all while still finding time to hit the town with her girls and spread love through fun times.
