Suspect accused in overnight stabbing now in custody, North Charleston police say
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A suspect accused in an overnight assault has been taken into custody following an hours-long search near the Park Circle area, according to North Charleston police.
Officers are currently at the ICON at Park Circle, around Old Pine Circle, as they look for the suspect.
Lt. Anthony King with the North Charleston Police Department said officers initially responded to a reported stabbing overnight, which resulted in two people being injured and taken to local hospitals.
An investigation led to the identification of a possible suspect.
Seven nearby schools were placed on a secure hold mid-morning Wednesday as officers began looking for the suspect near Old Pine Circle. Those holds have since been lifted.
