Charleston police looking to identify North Romney Street sexual assault suspect

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities are working to identify a person connected to a sexual assault that happened last month in the Bridgeview Apartment complex.

Officers with the Charleston Police Department responded to a residence on North Romney Street for a reported sexual assault on April 23.

Police said that since then, the victim has worked with detectives to develop a composite sketch of the suspect.

That individual is described as a Black male with an average build, a mustache, and dreadlocks. He is also reported to have a tattoo on his neck, according to CPD.
