Deputies investigating after man shot near Georgetown

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities are investigating an early morning shooting in Georgetown that left a man injured.

Deputies with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home off Meadow Street around 1:00 a.m. where they said a man was shot just after midnight.

“Multiple witnesses stated they heard gunshots and saw an unidentified group of people running down the road immediately after,” said an official with the sheriff’s office.

There was no information on any arrests. Details are limited.
