Tornado warnings expire Saturday evening
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Tornado warnings expired Saturday evening after severe storms moved across Berkeley County.
A warning was issued for portions of Berkeley County around 6:56 p.m. after forecasters with the National Weather Service in Charleston said a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Saint Stephen.
Additional tornado warnings were issued for Georgetown and Williamsburg counties after law enforcement confirmed a tornado near Russellville, or about six miles northeast of Moncks Corner just after 7:00 p.m.
There have not been any reports of damage at this time.
The warnings were allowed to expire shortly after 7:30 p.m.
