Williamsburg Co. Fire Department mourns former chief
WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Williamsburg County Fire Department (WCFD) announced the death of their former chief.
Officials say former Chief Ed Harville died on Friday, Jan. 26 after a short battle with cancer.
WCFD said Chief Harville began his career with the Williamsburg County Fire Department as a firefighter/mechanic and worked his way through the ranks to become chief.
“He was instrumental in building our training facility, modeling a rural specific firefighter training program, and supported his and other firefighters throughout his career,” said the Williamsburg County Fire Department via social media.
The fire department also announced that a full obituary will be available soon.
