Police investigating after 12 French bulldog puppies allegedly stolen from North Charleston home

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in North Charleston are investigating after a dozen French bulldog puppies were stolen from a home.

North Charleston officers met with the homeowner and witness on the morning of Feb. 13 and learned that five individuals had entered the home’s garage by allegedly kicking in the back door.

The suspects, who the witness said wore black hoodies and masks, ran from the back of the home with crates that were filled with the puppies, loaded them into two separate vehicles, and took off heading towards Dorchester Road, according to an incident report.

The report states the 12 French bulldog puppies were valued at roughly $37,000.

The homeowner also noted that the puppies had not yet been listed for sale, and that very few people knew the dogs existed or were even at the address; however, one of the victims would bring the dogs into the front yard to clean their cages and give the pups their baths.

No arrests have been made in this case. Anyone who may have information is asked to call police.
