CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A man charged in a June 2022 crash that killed an off-duty Charleston County deputy is scheduled to attend a plea hearing Thursday morning.

Emergency crews responded to a section of Rivers Avenue at Greenridge Road following a two-vehicle crash on the evening of June 14, 2022.

Officials with the North Charleston Police Department later said the driver, Ryan Dalesandro, failed to yield right of way and slammed into a vehicle, driven by LeRhonda Bomar, while traveling at 86 mph.
