Multi-car crash closes eastbound lanes on I-526 near Daniel Island

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Eastbound lanes of I-526 near Daniel Island are closed following a multi-vehicle crash.

Officials with the Charleston Police Department (CPD) said five vehicles were involved in a crash at mile marker 24.

It happened shortly before 2:00 p.m., according to Charleston County dispatch.

Motorists should expect delays and find an alternative route.
