Georgetown County teen charged with making school threat
GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A teenager in Georgetown County has been charged with making a school threat.
Investigators from Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office and officials with Georgetown County School District learned that a 14-year-old Carvers Bay Middle School student sent a text message to another student saying he planned to shoot up the school on Monday.
“When confronted, the boy admitted sending the text. Investigators searched his residence and found no credible threat,” said officials with the sheriff’s office.
The child will also be subject to the Georgetown County School District disciplinary policy.
