61-year-old killed in Folly Beach house fire: coroner
FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCBD) — The Charleston County Coroner has identified the 61-year-old man killed in a house fire on Folly Beach Friday night.
David Beltzhoover died at the Medical University of South Carolina at 8:50 p.m. Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal said the cause and manner of Mr. Beltzhoover’s death are still under investigation.
Around 7:42 p.m. Friday, crews responded to a home on E. Ashley Avenue in response to the fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and found Mr. Beltzhoover in the front bedroom.
They immediately pulled him from the home, and EMS started lifesaving measures.
He was transported to MUSC, where he died. Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
