70-year-old man died in Dorchester Road crash: coroner

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The coroner’s office has identified the 70-year-old man killed in a collision in North Charleston Tuesday. 

Henry Wright of Ladson died from blunt force injuries in the collision around 5 p.m., Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal said.

North Charleston Police initially reported a collision at the intersection of Dorchester Road and Lowell Road. Two other people were injured in the crash and taken to a local hospital. 

Traffic in the area was closed for several hours as all westbound lanes were shut down while crews worked to clear the scene. 

The North Charleston Police Department is investigating.
