1 dead in Sunday night shooting, North Charleston police say

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Authorities in North Charleston are investigating a deadly Sunday night shooting.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) responded to a location off Dakota Street for a report of a man down in the street and not moving.

A spokesman for the agency said arriving officers found the unresponsive man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
