Charleston to host financial literacy workshop for young adults
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The City of Charleston will provide a series of Financial Empowerment Workshops for the youth and young adults starting in July.
Officials say the workshop will be conducted virtually through Zoom, focusing on creating a spending budget and savings plan. Attendees will provide examples and resources to ensure they are equipped to replicate these efforts on their own.
The City of Charleston partnered with Bank On Charleston to ensure these workshops deliver young people the knowledge to take charge of their financial future.
The first workshop will be on Thursday, July 11 from 10 – 11 a.m.
The other two workshops scheduled on July 18 and 25 will cover building credit, investing, and saving for retirement.
Registration is required to attend and the Zoom link will be sent to all registrants. To register, click here.
