Charleston Police respond to ‘serious’ crash on portion of Highway 61

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Police in Charleston are investigating a serious collision on Highway 61 near the northbound ramp of the Fielding Connector.

The collision involved a single motorcyclist, police said. Police did not immediately have an update on the motorcyclist’s condition.

The major accident unit is investigating the collision.  The Fielding Connector connects the peninsula to West Ashley and runs past the Porter-Gaud School.
