Risk of afternoon showers on Wednesday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Wednesday morning temperatures are not as warm as Tuesday’s but it still can feel quite stuffy for kids waiting for the school bus.

Storm Team 2 forecasts morning temperatures to be between 70-78 degrees. The afternoon temperatures are expected to be in the upper 80s.

Josh Marthers says an increasing risk of rain develops around the lunch hour and lasts until 6 p.m.

“it won’t be as heavy or as widespread as what we saw yesterday – but there will be some showers to dodge,” said Marthers.

Looking ahead to Thursday and Friday, it is expected to be less humid. Some Lowcountry residents will wake up Thursday morning to temperatures in the 60s.
