Ashanti and Nelly Gush Over Their Baby Boy’s Latest Discovery: ‘He’s A Happy Baby’

It’s official: Ashanti and Nelly are our favorite couple ever, and their recent interview with Entertainment Tonight about their baby has us melting. In the interview with the media powerhouse, the hot couple dished on their 3-month-old son’s milestones, and the love they display for each other and their new baby is infectious and palpable.
Although we haven’t seen any official pictures of Ashanti and Nelly’s baby boy, we can picture how adorable he is by how his parents light up when discussing him. Draped in ornate gold attire, the couple shared with ET that their son, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, or “KK” as they affectionately call him, has recently discovered his toes. “He’s a happy baby, and he recently just found his toes,” Ashanti revealed. “So now he grabs his feet whenever he can, like when he’s laying down, and he smiles all the time.”

Nelly added to the conversation by joking and doting over how beautiful it is to watch his partner put her all into caring for their son. “She treats him like a Build-A-Bear. He doesn’t leave the house. He changes outfits like three times in the house,” the “Hot in Herre” rapper quipped. The St. Louis native continued to admire Ashant’s parenting skills and revel in the joy he receives from observing her taking care of their tyke, “To watch someone care about someone else so much and give their all and is willing to give their all. She’s an awesome mom,” he boasted.
Ashanti and Nelly welcomed their son on July 18, 2024. In August, the singer shared a postpartum pic of herself in Frida Mom shorts, praising her body for birthing her baby. “Funny how life’s plans aren’t…always on time.. lol. I’ve been waiting to be a mom for a long time now but nothing could prepare me for EVERYTHING motherhood brings! I’m so proud of my body for giving me my baby, baby, baby, baby, boy. 
,” she captioned the post.
