See the Holiday Festival of Lights by dragon boat!

JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) – Have you ever dreamed of experiencing the Holiday Festival of Lights from the water while paddling a dragon boat? Now could be your chance!

Charleston County Parks offers guests the opportunity to view the Holiday Festival of Lights at James Island County Park on a dragon boat.

Officials say this will only be available on select nights this holiday season. Experience is not necessary to participate in the dragon boat rides. Rides will be available from 4:30 – 6 p.m.

After the paddle is complete, guests can help themselves to a tasty cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the rest of the night at the Festival of Lights.

According to Charleston County Parks, the dragon boat program will be offered on select Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays: November 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, and December 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, and 18.

The program is offered for ages 10 and up. Officials say ages 10-15 must be accompanied by a registered chaperone.

Registration fees of $30 per person include dragon boating and a day of Holiday Festival of Lights admission. On-site registration will not be available.
