Pedestrian struck and killed on Ashley Phosphate Road
DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision that resulted in the death of a pedestrian on Tuesday night.
Troopers say the collision happened around 7:20 p.m. on Ashley Phosphate near Tanglewood Dr.
A pedestrian was struck in the roadway by a 2013 Suburu Sedan traveling west approximately .1 miles east of North Charleston.
According to officials, the pedestrian died at the hospital. The driver of the sedan was not injured.
The Dorchester County Corner’s Office has not yet released the name of the deceased.
