In recapping the first 25 years of the 21st century, Billboard recently dropped its Top Artists of the 21st Century chart!
The ranking was curated based solely on performance on both the Billboard 200 albums chart and the Billboard Hot 100 Songs chart between January 1, 2000, and December 28, 2024.

Although the country-turned-pop sensation Taylor Swift didn’t debut on Billboard until July 1, 2006, she sits at the the No, 1 spot. Her first single “Tim McGraw” (at age 16) put her on the map, and she currently holds the record for the most No. 1 albums by a woman.
