CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Snow and sleet fell over the Lowcountry on Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

Bitterly cold temperatures remain in place across southeast South Carolina, and near-record lows are possible Wednesday night, including dangerous wind chills that could see values as low as 8-15 degrees.

People should restrict travel as hazardous road conditions are expected over the next several hours.
