SCDOT continues repairs on College Park overpass, lanes closed
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation will continue repairs on the College Park overpass on Monday.
The left lanes of I-26 eastbound will be closed leading up to Exit 203. Drivers will take Exit 203 in order to re-enter I-26 eastbound. The northbound lanes of College Park will also be closed leading up to the bridge and the College Park Road bridge itself will be closed.
SCDOT says a detour route will be set up as part of the closure. Officials ask drivers to follow detour signs or seek alternative routes and expect delays.
Work is expected to be completed by 9 a.m. on Monday.
Repairs come after an 18-wheeler struck the bridge on Feb. 6, damaging a support beam.
