Zachary’s Daiquiris to open King Street location Friday
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A new concept that pairs frozen daiquiris with delicious bites is set to open Friday evening in downtown Charleston.
Zachary’s Daiquiris, or Zach’s Daiqs, will hold its grand opening at the corner of King and Ann Streets, in a location formerly occupied by Basil.
The menu includes a selection of salads, flatbreads, dips and spreads, and paninis with bread made in-house. In addition to the beer, wine and cocktails is a full list of daiquiris.
Mike Watson, who serves as executive chef, said the idea behind this concept was being served while sitting poolside at a Miami resort.
“So, we have a bunch of dips and spreads, and we’re baking ciabatta, were balking the sourdough bowls. Our salad program is top-notch. We’ve got a kale salad, we have a golden beet salad, and we also have our flatbreads in-house,” he said.

Zach’s Daiqs will hold a grand opening party from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and it will open to the public at 8 p.m. To attend the grand opening, you can RSVP by clicking here.
