SC Board of Education to consider removing more books

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The South Carolina State Board of Education is set to consider removing more books from school libraries and classrooms this week.

The school board is considering the removal of 10 additional books. They have reviewed challenges to 17 books under a new rule allowing removals for “sexual content.”

Those in opposition say the rule is too vague.

The board has already removed 11 of those books.

Another hearing is set for Thursday, March 13.
