Traffic blocked on I-26 due to cement truck incident

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A section of Interstate 26 is experiencing traffic delays Monday afternoon due to a cement truck incident.

According to SC Department of Transportation traffic cameras, the truck was flipped onto its side, and several lanes of the roadway were blocked off on I-26 East next to exit 205B.

Officials are directing traffic through one lane around the incident. It is unclear when the traffic will return to normal.

Motorists should expect delays and avoid the area if possible. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
