Isle of Palms to discuss parking rate, pass changes during Tuesday workshop

ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) – Isle of Palms is looking to update its parking rates and provide seasonal parking passes for non-residents and workers.

The city’s Public Safety Committee last week took up both and made recommendations for the proposals. Those will now go to city council to be discussed at a Tuesday council workshop.

The committee voted to move from the flat rate after 4 p.m. in Lot A and Lot B to an hourly rate of $3 per hour and recommended limiting the seasonal parking passes for non-residents to 350 passes.

One of those passes would cost you $255.

The Isle of Palms City Council workshop is planned for Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. inside council chambers.
